Privacy Policy

Weedu is a product of Monopole Technologies Pvt. Ltd. ("Weedu", "we", "us"), a company registered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. This policy explains what information we collect through weedu.ai, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We've tried to keep it short and in plain language, because that's how we'd want it explained to us.
What we collect
When you join the Weedu early-access waitlist, we ask for:
- Your name
- Your mobile number
- Your city (so we know which launch city you belong to)
That's all the form collects. We do not ask for, and do not want, anything more at this stage.
Like most websites, our hosting and analytics tools also process some technical information automatically when you visit — such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you view. This is described under "Cookies and tracking" below.
How we use your information
- To contact you about early access — primarily on WhatsApp, and occasionally by phone call, SMS, or email (if you have shared an email address with us), to let you know when Weedu is available to you and to onboard you.
- To understand interest in Weedu — for example, how many people signed up and from where, so we can plan our launch.
- To measure our advertising — see "Cookies and tracking" below.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers described below, who process it on our behalf.
Where your information is stored
Waitlist submissions are stored in Google Workspace (Google Forms and Google Sheets), operated by Google LLC. Access is restricted to the Weedu team. Our website is hosted on Netlify, Inc.
Cookies and tracking
Meta Pixel. We use the Meta Pixel (from Meta Platforms, Inc.) to understand whether our advertising on Facebook and Instagram works — for example, whether someone who saw our ad went on to join the waitlist. The Pixel uses cookies and may collect your device information and the actions you take on our site. When you submit the waitlist form, the name and phone number you enter may be shared with Meta in hashed (scrambled) form to improve measurement. Meta's use of this data is described in Meta's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of personalised ads through your Facebook ad preferences.
PostHog. We use PostHog (PostHog, Inc.) to understand how visitors use this site — for example, which pages are viewed, how far people scroll, and whether the waitlist form is completed. This may include session replays of visits, in which the text you type into forms is masked and not recorded. This data is processed on PostHog's servers in the United States. You can read more in PostHog's privacy policy.
Google Fonts. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads.
You can also limit tracking through your browser's cookie settings or extensions; the website works fine without them.
How long we keep your information
We keep waitlist information until Weedu launches in your area and you either become a user (at which point a fuller privacy policy for the product will apply) or ask us to remove you — whichever comes first. If you ask to be removed, we delete your name and number from our records within 30 days.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct it
- Ask us to delete it and stop contacting you
- Raise a grievance about how we've handled your data
To exercise any of these, just message or email us (below) — no forms, no hoops. You can also simply reply "STOP" to any WhatsApp message from us and we'll stop contacting you.
Children
Weedu's website and waitlist are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted their details, contact us and we'll delete them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell waitlist members directly.
